“A Poem About Life”
By 'Karma', March 2006
The clock ticks the minutes by,
Each one could be the last,
Seems that all these years,
Are passing by awfully fast
I’ve still got a dream,
But who doesn’t in this world,
I’m different than anybody else,
But still an ordinary girl
I’m in one of those cars that you pass on the highway,
I’m one of those smiles that never fades away,
I’m no more or less than anyone else,
I’m not quite a star, but not just a name
You can’t be affraid of changes,
Sometimes things just have to come and leave,
Just enjoy the warmth of sunlight,
Be happy you’re alive, and just breathe
Every hour comes and passes,
So close your eyes, take one last breath,
Don’t look back, no sense in that,
Just jump in, it’s life, not death
There are too many love songs but not enough love,
Too many promises, but not enough true,
We’re hoping for what’s ideal, not living what’s real,
One thing falls out of line, someone will sue
I guess it doesn’t really matter,
What happens in the end,
There’s nothing worth while,
For me to defend
What’s wrong and what’s right,
No one ever seemed to care,
You can’t claim to see the light,
If it was never really there
It’s all just life,
It’s all worth while,
Stuggling through the days,
Looking for a reason to smile
It may be going downhill,
It may be full of strife,
But Just smile and laugh, there’s always a reason,
To feel happy throughout life
You don’t need to live in depression,
Just be optomistic, it’s not the worst,
You don’t need to live every day of your life,
Thoroughly rehearsed
I’m searching for more words, but they’re not there,
So I guess I’ll just pass them by,
I’m still living my dream,
And I will be until I die

This took a while, it was very hard for me to express this into words. Kind of one of those feelings that's hard to explain, but I did the best that I could of it.
